Today marks the day when Scots commemorate Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns. They do so by throwing parties, making bonfires, and downing toddies, a recipe for which, is included in today’s entry. Basically, it’s herbal tea with a shot (or two) of whisky. The drink itself will warm you up while the steam will help clear your sinuses. :)
Now I’m not a big fan of whisky, but I can definitely back up the whole tea on a cold day. Luckily, the Philippines has been enjoying chilly weather for a few weeks now so I can enjoy my hot tea without worrying about sweating
like a pig buckets. HAHA!
Coincidentally, today is also St. Dwynden’s Day, the Welsh patron saint of lovers. AWW… Makes me wanna say rwy’n dy garu di. <3
